That clock was invented at that time...
Some ppl say JFK was shot dead.. but whats the connection b/n JFK & the clocks?
I thought( or read somewhere) this 10:10:35 gives best view of the clock..including the labels in it...!!!

I don't think its the JFK assassination. Because I have read about this "10:10" thing being in vogue even before 1963.
My fave theory is the one echoed by Krish...the best view of the clock...apparently the visual symmetry appeals when the hour and min hand are set to show either 10:10 or 2:50. By the same token, even 8:20 or 4:40 should be common..
There are some more wacky theories out there...anyone?
I heard somewhere that it was all a marketing ploy to make the clock look happy... Consumers see a smiling clock, and that's more pleasant than a frowning or chaotic one.
